The Camshaft Position sensor will signal the Engine Control Module when the #1 cylinder is ready for the spark plug to fire (top-dead-center on compression stroke). The ECM uses the information from this sensor to help calculate fuel delivery and spark timing.
At this point we are assuming that the fuses and relays are good. You will need to locate the PCM/TCM and the power input signal circuit using your vehicle information source. Unplug the connector from the PCM/TCM, place the ignition switch in the ON position, and probe the appropriate circuit with the positive test lead of the DVOM.
If your injector high side short to gnd or vbatt - bank 2 check engine light is illuminated, it's best to take it in for diagnostic testing, which can feel like a hassle. Because while the lights vary in appearance from vehicle to vehicle, all have the same basic meaning: There's a problem with the car's emissions system. The on-board diagnostics system U0792 and engine control unit are in charge of monitoring a bunch of different injector high side short to gnd or vbatt - bank 2, and if they get a reading that's a little out of whack, up pops the check engine light.
